Thread Type
Not all nut and bolt threads are cut exactly the same: depending on the machine used in its manufacture, the threads can differ greatly.
This is extremely important to know, as the wrong thread type can result in serious damage both to your wheel nuts or wheel bolts and to your vehicle hub.
The most common thread types for vehicles in the UK and Ireland include:
