There are different ways to measure bolt patterns depending on the number of bolts on the wheel. Four-bolt wheels measure the pattern from the middle of one hole to the middle of the opposite hole.
On a five-bolt wheel, you measure from the outermost point of one hole to the center of one of the two holes farthest away.
You shouldn’t have to worry about measuring your Mustang wheel bolt pattern though. See the table below for a list of bolt patterns by generation.
