Maintenance and Durability of Polished Rims

Polished wheels require more upkeep than painted or chrome rims. Depending on how the wheel was manufactured, it may either be:

Uncoated: Many forged or deep-dish polished wheels are left as raw metal. They are susceptible to oxidation, water spots, and micro-scratches, requiring regular hand-polishing with products like Nano Wheel Polish or Zephyr Pro 40 to maintain their shine.

Clear-Coated: Some polished wheels are treated with a clear protective layer. While this shields the metal from environmental damage and makes them easier to clean with standard soap, it can slightly dull the bright metallic sheen
